Andrea has spent over two decades at Bolton, starting his career as a controller in the Personal Care division. Reflecting on his journey, Andrea notes, “At first, it was all about the numbers, but it didn’t take long for me to realize that the real magic was in the people behind the numbers.” His career took a pivotal turn when he moved to the Holding company and collaborated closely with Bolton’s founder. This transition marked a transformative period where he helped establish a central controlling department and introduced category P&L.
His extensive experience across various departments such as Finance & Administration (F&A), Information and Communication Technology (ICT), and Home and Personal Care (HPC) has underscored the importance of collaboration. Andrea emphasizes, “Working in different departments has shown me how essential it is to embrace shared ownership.” He believes that creating a culture where everyone’s voice is heard leads to significant achievements. “When teams align, that’s when the real magic happens,” he states.
In his current role as ICT Governance Manager, Andrea focuses on fostering innovation within his team by promoting a growth mindset. He explains, “For me, it’s about creating a safe space to experiment and learn.” Encouraging creativity and resilience are central to his leadership style.
One of Andrea’s notable accomplishments was participating in the acquisition of Wild Planet Foods. He recalls this experience fondly: “The US market is vastly different from the markets Bolton is used to… We had to find a common ground and align Wild Planet with Bolton’s financial processes while preserving its unique identity.”
Looking ahead, Andrea aims to continue driving Bolton’s digital transformation. His goal is “to ensure that we are constantly evolving and improving” for both Bolton’s growth and its employees’ development. As a leader, Andrea seeks to inspire his team by encouraging them to push boundaries with enthusiasm. He concludes, “When we work together, there’s no limit to what we can achieve.”
