PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), through its subsidiary JAPFA Food, has initiated the export of its OLAGUD Ready-To-Eat Tender Chicken Breast to Singapore. The product was shipped in a 40-foot container and marks a strategic move for JAPFA as it seeks to broaden its presence internationally. This new line caters to the increasing demand for high-protein snacks in Singapore, produced under strict quality controls and adhering to local food safety standards.

The OLAGUD chicken breast is available in six flavors: Himalayan Pink Salt, Herbs, Miso Shoyu, Peri-Peri, Smokey, and Hainanese. These flavors were developed after market research aimed at meeting consumer preferences in Singapore.

“This export milestone is a testament to JAPFA Food’s ability to compete globally while complying with strict international quality and food safety standards. We are proud to showcase high-quality products made in Indonesia,” said Rachmat Indrajaya, Director at JAPFA.

The initiative aligns with JAPFA’s commitment to regional food security by using local resources and an integrated production system. This approach supports both domestic consumption and international markets.

The Ministry of Agriculture supported this first shipment, particularly the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health Services. The exported products come with Veterinary Health Certificates from veterinary authorities confirming compliance with animal health requirements abroad.

Dr. Drh. Nuryani Zainuddin, M.Si, Director of Veterinary Public Health, highlighted government oversight’s importance in ensuring exported animal-based food products’ quality and safety. “All exported products undergo rigorous verification and inspection processes in line with national and international animal health standards. We also uphold animal welfare principles throughout the production chain to ensure that operations are not only efficient but also ethical,” she stated.

This initial export is expected to open opportunities for future shipments to other markets, reinforcing JAPFA’s standing as a significant player in the competitive food industry while exemplifying successful collaboration between industrial innovation and government policy.
