JAPFA Food, the downstream business unit of PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA), has partnered with Silk Bistro, a member of BIKO Group, to introduce two special dishes that blend Indonesian flavors with modern culinary techniques. The launch took place during a media luncheon on August 20, 2025 at Silk Bistro, which is located in a heritage building in Central Jakarta.
Silk Bistro is recognized for its contemporary cooking methods and has chosen JAPFA Food as its main ingredient supplier for this collaboration. The featured dishes include honey-roasted chicken made with Olagud probiotic chicken and rawon noodles using Tokusen premium beef. Both menu items will be available throughout August.
The theme of the collaboration is “Flavor, Heritage and Togetherness,” which is reflected in every element of the dishes to showcase taste diversity and traditions linked to Indonesian cuisine. The menus were developed through an exploration of traditional recipes combined with high-quality ingredients from JAPFA Food and Silk Bistro’s culinary expertise. The aim is to evoke nostalgia and pride in local food heritage.
Inspired by the Silk Road as a crossroads of culture and modernity, Silk Bistro offers contemporary Asian cuisine while maintaining tradition and serving as a gathering place for families. According to Freddie Salim, Chef Owner of Silk Bistro: “Setiap hidangan yang kami hadirkan memiliki nilai cerita, baik itu tentang tradisi, keluarga, kebersamaan dan cita rasa khas yang telah menjadi bagian dari kehidupan masyarakat Indonesia secara turun menurun”.
The collaborative menu will be available at Silk Bistro throughout August for the public to experience the combination of honey-roasted chicken and rawon noodles prepared with an emphasis on cultural heritage.
