PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk (JAPFA) has partnered with PT Adicipta Boga Intiprima (IMPERIAL GROUP) to launch the culinary competition “Clash of Flavors: Farm to Fire” in Bogor, West Java. The event, held from June 15 to 18, 2025, was designed to promote creativity and innovation among chefs from various IMPERIAL GROUP outlets. It emphasized a “farm-to-table” approach, focusing on premium ingredients and sustainability within the food and beverage industry.
JAPFA FOOD aims to support culinary businesses by providing high-quality animal protein products and flexible product forms tailored for professional kitchens. Melvany Kasih, Head of Japfa Food Solutions, stated that their “one-stop food solutions” approach is intended to help culinary businesses deliver consistent flavors efficiently.
IMPERIAL GROUP sees this partnership as an opportunity to meet modern consumers’ expectations regarding food quality and environmental impact. Ma Wilianto, CEO of IMPERIAL GROUP, expressed that the collaboration allows them to innovate while maintaining flavor integrity and integrating sustainability principles into menu development.
The competition involved 90 chefs from the IMPERIAL GROUP network who worked in teams to create signature dishes showcasing flavor, presentation, originality, and sustainable practices. Successful creations will be further developed with JAPFA FOOD and IMPERIAL GROUP’s R&D teams for potential inclusion as flagship menu items.
Chef Martin Praja praised the event for promoting talent development and responsible culinary practices. He noted the participants’ technical skills and focus on ingredient quality. Chef Gilles Marx highlighted the value of exploring JAPFA FOOD’s local ingredients during the competition.
