Sea Legs, a crab-flavored seafood product from Louis Kemp, is now available in a 1.5 lb. gusseted pouch at select Walmart stores across the United States. The product is made with Wild Alaska Pollock and is crafted in Japan, the country where surimi was first created in the 12th century.
Louis Kemp, known for its high-quality and sustainably sourced surimi, produces Sea Legs under close collaboration with Trident Seafoods Japan. Each serving contains 8 grams of protein and 90mg of Omega-3s, with no added MSG.
“Crafted in Trident Seafoods Japan’s Onagawa facility, Sea Legs are the best eating version of this style of product on the market,” said James Riley, Director of Category Management – Surimi at Trident Seafoods. “It is great to see the expansion of this category with the addition of select Walmart stores around the U.S., and for consumers to enjoy surimi in new ways.”
The fully cooked product can be used as an appetizer, in salads or sushi, or as part of a charcuterie board. It also serves as a convenient snack option for those seeking high-protein foods.
Surimi, often found in dishes at sushi restaurants and poke shops, is made from Wild Alaska Pollock—a species recognized for its sustainability. Louis Kemp’s surimi products are low in calories, fat, and cholesterol while providing complete protein.
The new 1.5-lb. package of Louis Kemp Sea Legs can be found in the frozen section at participating Walmart locations starting today.
