SalMar issues NOK 1.5 billion in new green bonds with potential for further offer

SalMar ASA has announced the issuance of new senior unsecured green bonds totaling NOK 1.5 billion. The company, which holds a BBB+/Negative rating from Nordic Credit Rating, issued NOK 1,000 million in an eight-year fixed tranche and NOK 500 million in a seven-year floating rate tranche. The fixed coupon for the eight-year bond is set at 5.15%, equivalent to a floating rate of 3mN+143 basis points, while the floating rate tranche will be priced at 3mN+135 basis points per annum.

The settlement date for these bonds is scheduled for August 22, 2025, and SalMar plans to apply for their listing on the Oslo Stock Exchange.

Nordea acted as Sole Lead Manager for the initial transactions. Additionally, SalMar is considering offering up to NOK 500 million more in the seven-year tranche, subject to market conditions. For this potential additional issue, Nordea, Danske Bank, DNB and SEB are serving as Joint Lead Managers.
