Thai Union Group PCL has received an AA rating in the Stock Exchange of Thailand’s (SET) ESG Ratings for the Agro and Food Industry category, marking an improvement from its A rating in 2024. The company’s 2025 score reflects ongoing progress in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices across its global operations.

The SET ESG Ratings evaluate listed companies based on their sustainability performance to help investors make informed decisions. To be included in these ratings, companies must meet specific eligibility requirements and show strong results in environmental, social, and governance areas. This includes attaining at least a three-star Corporate Governance Report score as assessed by the Thai Institute of Directors.

Thiraphong Chansiri, CEO of Thai Union Group, stated: “This recognition reflects the progress we continue to make under our SeaChange 2030 strategy. Sustainability is central to how we operate, and we remain focused on building responsible and resilient seafood supply chains that create long term value for our stakeholders while contributing to a healthier ocean and planet.”

The company’s SeaChange 2030 initiative aims to advance human rights, ocean stewardship, climate action, and community wellbeing throughout its value chain. Building on efforts started with the original SeaChange program launched in 2016, SeaChange 2030 sets out 11 goals aligned with global sustainability standards and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Thai Union continues to focus on transparent supply chains, reducing operational emissions, improving worker welfare, collaborating to protect marine ecosystems, and supporting local communities. These measures are intended to enhance long-term competitiveness while helping shape a more sustainable seafood sector.
